努力带来了回报

     三年前的秋天我们怀着各种心绪走进了武汉枫叶国际学校，当我们从远处眺望枫叶全景的时候，对这里的一切都感到陌生，新鲜，但却有一种可以让我们感得到全身心放松的感觉。当初我们选择来这里的缘由也有很多，只记得选择的那段过程是艰辛的、忐忑的。但后来证明我们的选择是正确的，因为这个选择让我们的高中生活每天都很开心也很充实，也因此拉开了我们人生的新篇章。

    枫叶的三年，我们体会最深的一个词那就是“独立”。不管什么方面，我们觉得都可以与这个词联系在一起。首先，枫叶要求学生住校，对于我们两个从幼儿园到初中都是一直有父母陪伴在左右的，突然要我们独自住宿确实有挑战。刚开始我们两个有点兴奋，可兴奋过后就是不知所措了。虽然一开始觉得不适应，但毕竟我们比其他的同学还是幸运一些，起码我们是姐妹俩在一起不会觉得孤单。起初，我们也是带着忐忑的心情去上我们在枫叶的第一节课，我们既好奇又害怕的等待着外教老师的到来，但是外教并没有我们想象中的那么严肃，一切与我们想的是天壤之别。加方老师的课堂总是充满着欢乐，没有繁重的课堂作业，同学们都是很自由的发言，让我们两个本是很安静的女生也开始慢慢的融入到其中。全英文的教学也对我们任何人来说都是一个崭新的经历。我们也曾担忧会不会对于外教的上课内容只能一知半解，其实经历过之后发现，外教是非常的平易近人，因为他们很了解我们的情况，所以他也适当的有放慢他的语速，让我们所有的学生都能够听得懂。各种各样的社团活动也使我们高中的生活变得更加丰富多彩。因为我们都知道，脑袋里只装学习的人那是“书呆子”，所以枫叶这个平台提供了这些机会才能让我们的学习和生活方面变得不那么枯燥乏味。

    我们不得不承认的是在这里也许学业并没有公立高中那么的繁重，但是时间可以证明不努力是不会得到任何回报的。这里确实没有所谓的“题海战术”，这里有的是学校会注重你的平时表现和成绩。国内的高考是“一考定终生”，但是在这里我们可以把它定义为“平时决定你的未来”。课堂的参与度、隔一天的每次小考、或三天的一大考都是可以评估一个学生的依据。我们两姐妹并不属于那种出类拔萃的“大学霸”，但是我们在枫叶的三年却没有一天不是在努力拼搏着的。我们一直相信“笨鸟先飞”是有一定的道理的，所以我们付出的努力与我们今天取得的成果是成正比的。高二的我们，很大一部分时间都在准备语言考试（雅思），这个成绩对于我进入大学也是十分重要的。雅思考试也可以说是我们目前最难过的一个坎。本来学业上很忙的基础上，我们每天还得要惦记着要做一些雅思习题才能安心，但还好功夫不负有心人，因为我一直相信努力会给我们带来同等价值的回报，我们做到了！

    高三的这一年，充斥着我们生活中的不仅仅是学业，还有诸多的大学申请等待着我们。这段时间的磨练，也让我们学会了另一种技能，对时间的合理安排。当我们穿上学士服的那一瞬间，回顾在枫叶的三年，酸甜苦辣都有，但却觉得每一天都是过得充实的，开心的。就在4月8号这天，我们姐妹俩同时收到了梦想大学英属哥伦比亚大学（University of British Columbia）的录取通知书，那一瞬间别提有多高兴了，有一种梦想成真的感觉。确确实实，又应验了这句话“努力最终会给你带来同等价值的回报”。

十七岁的我们，我们也要带着我们的梦想翱翔。我们为自己做出的选择一点都不感到后悔，感谢枫叶，感谢培育了我们三年的枫叶。我已枫叶为荣，枫叶也会以我为荣。想必不管过了多少年后，我仍然会记得这个拥有我们最美好记忆的地方，时常会想起这里的一切。加油吧，更多的挑战还在后面，不断勇往直前地前进吧！美好的未来在向我们招手！我们准备好了！

Hard Will Bring You the Same Value of Return

Three years ago, we entered the Wuhan Maple Leaf International School with a

 variety of complex feelings. When we were overlooking the view of the school, 

I felt strange and also fresh about everything in this school, but sometimes it made 

us get fully relaxed. There are a lot of reasons that why we came to this school,

 and the only thing I remember was the process is very difficult and uneasy. 

From now on, it turned out our choice is correct, because it brought happiness 

and it also opened a new chapter of our life.

I learned a deepest word “independent” during these three years. No matter 

what, everything can be associated with this word. First of all, maple leaf 

students should live in campus. However, since kindergarten to junior high school, 

I never be apart with my parents alone. This was the first challenge we face but 

we should overcome those difficulties bravely. At the beginning of the first 

semester, we were both curious about everything in this school, especially the

 English education mode. Honesty Canadian teachers are not as strict as we 

imagined. We felt happy and satisfy during the lessons. We were active and easily

 integrated into the study environment at this school. 

We have to admit that there is high work load just like public schools. However, 

Maple leaf is focusing on the participation, quiz and test. These factors are really 

important for applying university. Also, IELTS test is a essential part of applying 

university. It seems like the most important factor for university application. So,

 I practiced doing many kinds of exercises for such a long time, and finally

 achieved a satisfactory mark at the end.

In grade 12, I learned the skill of time management and being independent. 

When I memorize the three years in maple leaf, I felt fulfilling and happy.

 On April 8, we were received an offer from our dream university at the same 

time, The university of British Columbia. I could not tell my exactly feelings at 

that moment, it just felt like dream come true. Indeed, “hard will bring you

 the same value of return”.
