Good morning teachers and students,

We are Sarah Hu and Edward Fu from class 6 grade 11. 

It’s the beginning of the new semester; have you prepared to make progress? Today, we are going to give you some suggestions on what you should do in the new semester.

First are our new grade 9 students. Welcome to Maple Leaf and officially become a maple leafer. We strongly recommend you to be adapted to the learning environment in our school and establish good habits. 

Also, please feel free to join a school club or to participate in various school activities. We hope that you can do well in school and be better prepared for your next three years.

As for Grade 10 students, now you are not a real “fresh” man, and that means you need to make a breakthrough. Right now your courses are still not that challenging as the courses that you need to take later in Grade 11 and 12 so you have sufficient time to participate in school activities and make progress in your academics. 

For those students who want to apply to be in Zhou Enlai class, you will get lots of challenges and we look forward to your sound preparation for application.

This will be a tough time for Grade 11 students because while courses are getting harder, you still need to prepare for your language tests like ELITS, TOEFL, SAT, and at this very moment, please take care of yourself and don’t get sick. If you think you lack time for studying, maybe it’s because you did not find a proper study method or you are inefficient. Try and find yourself a better way of study so that you get your ideal grades.

This is also the senior year of grade 12 students; soon you will graduate from the school, a school that carries your bittersweet memories. 

Maybe playing with your friends and making fun of each other is nothing special; however, after you graduate from the school, even the most challenging OCs and time-consuming lab reports will make you reminiscent. Time passes by quickly; please make the best of you in the last semester. 

Maybe a few years ago, you have come to Maple leaf with childishness and could not speak one fluent English sentence, but in June, you will leave the school with your full confidence and achievements to step into the universities, march towards your glorious futures.

Finally, we hope that everyone can have a pleasure new semester.

学期伊始，又是一个广阔舞台展现在面前，又是无数的发展机会等待被把握。今天我们有幸借此机会，与大家一齐展望接下来精彩的半年！

新学期我们迎来了充满朝气的预备班学弟学妹们，欢迎你们加入枫叶大家庭。在未来的一个学期里，你们要适应英文学习的环境，并发掘自身的潜力。你们可以参加各式各样的社团、也可以参与到英语艺术节、汉语戏剧节和枫叶杯英文演讲比赛中，争取尽快融入新的环境，为之后的三年打下好的基础。

而高一的同学们要继续在学业和活动上取得突破。努力培养良好的习惯，让日后的学习事半功倍。而学校大部分活动的参与者均为高一同学，希望你们在新学期把握好所有锻炼能力、展现实力的机会。同时，对于想进入新一届周恩来班的同学们，你们将在新学期陆续接受笔试、中英文面试等环节的考验。衷心希望你们能提前为各个环节做好准备并预祝你们成功。

高二同学将逐渐迎来最紧张、忙碌的一段日子——保证成绩的同时还要准备雅思，托福、SAT甚至SAT2等考试。在这个关键时刻，你们更要调整好作息，提高学习效率，争取在获得优秀学校成绩的同时也收到语言考试的高分成绩单！

每年下学期都是感伤又充满希望的，高三的学长学姐们将度过在枫叶的最后毕业季。

或许还想继续和小伙伴打打闹闹；还想放肆地互相嘲讽；还想拿课本为他们占满椅子；还想把饭卡潇洒地扔给谁刷。或许再赶一份lab report；再尝试被oc蹂躏几次；再温习一下海报和漫画陪伴的日日夜夜；再和那些可爱可敬的老师们多呆一会儿。光阴荏苒，走得坚决。当苦涩或甜蜜都已成追忆，来不及问一句“时间都去哪了”，珍惜当下就成为了最好的选择。所以离别关头，你们更应该把学校的风景深留心底，也把自己最好的一面留给校园；

努力把剩下的六个月打磨成你们无法忘怀的、最棒的记忆；也给未来的maple leafer 树立最阳光的榜样！或许三四年前你们带着稚气，带着不太流利的英语和懵懂思想走进枫叶，但我们深知，你们即将带着满满的自信和成绩走出枫叶，走向世界，走向成功！

所以,风华正茂的我们应把握这宝贵的成长空间，给自己的人生交一份满意的答卷！预祝大家新学期愉快！ May the odds be ever in your favor。
