四年级特长班我选修了科学，在这里我认识了外教Tom，他有一头金色卷发，皮肤白白的，身材高大，是个帅哥！但听到他介绍自己的名字时，我捂起嘴笑了，因为我想到了动画片《猫和老鼠》里那只永远抓不到老鼠JERRY的笨猫。
虽然他是外国人，可他很喜欢中国博大精深的文化，在课堂上他会给我们讲古代著名的孔明灯，还教我们亲自动手制作，在我们费了九牛二虎的力气做好孔明灯并写上自己的名字满怀期待拿到操场放飞时，孔明灯却没有飞到天空上去，我们都有些沮丧，这时TOM耸耸肩，一脸微笑告诉我们：Failure is the mother of success!每一个科学家都要经历无数次失败才能获得成功的，科学就是一个不断探索的过程，在他的课堂上我学到的不仅是科学知识，更多的是坚持不懈的科学态度和勇于尝试的科学精神。
后来相处久了，我发现我们两个有一个共同点：都是球迷,喜欢的还是同一支球队：BARCELONA呢！虽然他喜欢梅西，我喜欢内马尔，但丝毫不影响我们每次见面的时候聊足球,我们会聊聊西甲、欧冠的赛况，说说各自喜欢的球员，我觉得他就像我的好朋友一样！
这就是我最喜欢的外教TOM,他既是我的老师，也是我的朋友，我很想念和他相处的那段时光！

I got to know the foreign teacher Tom through science club when I was in grade four. Tom is tall and handsome with gold curly hair and white skin. I could not help laughing when I heard his self-introduction on his name, which reminded me of the carton Tom and Jerry.
Tom is a foreigner, who is very eager to know China’s prefunding culture. I still remember one his class: he taught us how to make Kongming (A historical figure in the three Kingdom Period) Lamp by ourselves. To our disappointment, those lamps did not fly into the sky as we expected despite that we spared no effort in making it including writing our names on it. Tom smiled and said while shrugging his shoulders to reply to us: failure is the mother of success. Every scientists has to experience numerous times of failure before success, Science is a process of continuous exploration. In his class, I have learnt not only knowledge, but also the spirit of persistence.
With time rolling on, I found something in common between us, we are both football fans, we both love the same team-Barcelona. For him, his favorite star is Messi, my favorite star is Neymar, which can not affect us chatting on balls. We sometimes chatted on balls, sometimes Spanish Liga, UEFA, sometimes our favorite player. I think we are friends.
This is my favorite foreign teacher Tom; he is my teacher as well as my friend. I miss the moment we stayed together so much.
