10月27日，将精彩纷呈的万圣节精彩奉献给孩子和家长们之后，枫叶小学的全体老师们带着满满的期待和好奇，推开了英语中心主办的教师月度交流大会的大门。这不是普通的交流大会，更不是普通的门，只因为枫叶教育的快乐学习，体验式学习，中西教育优化结合在此淋漓尽致。
After a magnificent Halloween Carnival in the afternoon of Oct 27th, 2017, all Elementary staff attend the Monthly Conference organized by ESL Center. It guides us to an entirely new way of learning-Experiential Learning.

Amanda 和Debby老师带着万圣节背景知识介绍来了。Bat, black cat, cobwebs, graveyard, mummy, zombies... 你们知道为什么西方墓碑上都刻着R.I.P吗? 原来它的全称为Rest in peace. 也就是中文里的“入土为安”！
Amanda and Debby introduced to us about the origin of Halloween. Bat, black cat, cobwebs, graveyard, mummy, zombies... Do you know why you can see “RIP” on the gravestone in western countries? Oh, It means “Rest in peace”!

Sheetal老师，这是什么情况？这些包子真的是灵堂旁边的包子铺买的吗？巫婆的配方表里到底有什么？胆小者勿入！
Hey, Sheetal. Did you really buy these Baozi from the store beside a funeral hall? What is the recipes?The Baozi is tasty, but what are the ingredients? It’s really scary. What’s inside the box? Wow, it’s very soft. It’s very slippery.

万圣节总是和电影密不可分的。什么？现场来配音？真过瘾！《忍者神龟》、《烦人的橘子》、《万圣节游行》你选哪一部？
Talking about Halloween, we can never ignore an important part which is dubbing. Which movie do you like best?
快乐学习是小学英语的宗旨。辣么，快乐之后，你学到了什么？考考你！告诉Lee, Maria老师吧！

英语中心团队是一个融汇中西文化的团队，既然是融汇，总少不了差异的碰撞。初到中国的老外总是会被餐馆里的奇奇怪怪的中国美食所惊吓到。中国人的热情，初来乍到的外国人总是会有点不适应哦！
Our ESL team is a team which composed of Chinese and international teachers from all over the world. There are lots of culture differences between us. Foreign teachers are often shocked with strange Chinese cuisines.

南瓜，南瓜，还是南瓜！万圣节怎能少得了南瓜？有老师问：能拿回家煮了吃吗？哈哈，要命的文化！中国人的吃文化无孔不入呀！
PUMPKIN, PUMPKIN! We need lots of pumpkins in Halloween. “Can I take this home and cook it after the meeting? ” What a Chinese eating culture!

英语中心 32名成员，来自六个不同的国家。我们有着不同的文化背景，却因为热爱教育这份事业相聚一起。我们有文化差异,有文化冲突，我们会争吵、生气，但是我们更多的是相互尊重、理解，包容彼此，最终达成共识。
There are 32 members coming from 6 different countries. We with different culture background, get together in Wuhan Maple Leaf, because we all love our teaching, we love our kids. We have culture differences, which you may tell from the short skits just now. Sometimes, we may have cultural shock, we get angry or even fight with each other. But we respect and understand each other, we compromise finally.
“管理上越严格越好，学术上越宽松越好。”正是因为在枫叶，英语老师们是幸福的，因为我们的课程有足够的空间，让我们去思考，去探讨，去研讨。作为创新的尖兵，作为学术的中流砥柱，英语中心一直在路上！

More strictness on management and more freedom on academy. We are happy that we can have more space on realizing our real teaching. Our ESL team will always be creatively and professionally marching forward.
