A Truth of Happiness Which Kids Can Tell You

他们来自501班和502班,每个孩子背后都贴着DIY小海报,海报上写作各种各样的英文句子,如,“My world is better with you in it.”;“You are important. ”;“Thanks for helping me. ”;“I’m proud of you.” ;“Thanks for taking good care of me.”;“You’re awesome. ”;“You made my day!”。

A Truth of Happiness Which Kids Can Tell You

If you ask a kid what happiness is, you may get lots of funny answers. Kids cannot answer philosophical questions, but they have the ability to make you feel happy. All the kids in WMLES brought happiness to everyone on campus this Wednesday. Yes, they made it, but how?

Let’s go back to this Tuesday. There were some special kids from Class 501 and 502 walking around the campus. On each of their back, a little DIY poster with a different English sentence on it, like, “My world is better with you in it.”, “You are important. “, “Thanks for helping me. “, ”I’m proud of you.” , ”Thanks for taking good care of me.”, “You’re awesome. “, “You made my day!” and so on. They could teach anyone in the school how to read the sentences or the meanings of them.

Some of the 1st graders joined them, and these little angels called on the library, school clinic and teachers’ offices to express their compliments and love.

On this special day, kids gave big hugs to their life teachers and said thank you to them. They knew that there were lots of workers on campus, such as cleaners and canteen staff who made them live a better life. Kids greeted everyone they met on campus and said thank you to them. All the kids made compliment cards which were sent to different offices and classes by the volunteers from Class 501 and 502.

What’s special on this Wednesday? It’s the “Say Something Nice Day”. It began in Charleston, South Carolina, when the Mayors of North Charleston and Charleston came together with members of the Charleston-Atlantic Presbytery and the South Carolina Baptist Convention to create a day to be kind to the special people in our lives. The creators hope that this one day of pleasantness will grow.

Now, do you know what a truth of happiness is? Happiness is simple, just showing gratitude and compliments, focusing on the good in everyone. Giving makes you happier so these little angels in WMLES live a happy life at school as they know giving is a truth of happiness.
