武汉枫叶小学第三届英语艺术节之我爱猜谜语

上周一至周四“我爱猜谜语”活动已经取得圆满的成功，本次活动为第三届英语艺术节中的第二项活动，全校一至六年级共900多学生参与此项活动，四天的活动，共收到1500多人次的答题卡，获奖人次达到200多人次，参加人数多，覆盖率高。四天的活动中孩子们的热情一天比一天高涨。为寻找谜语的答案而奔跑在教学楼的每一层；为自己找到正确答案而欢呼雀跃；为成为幸运的获奖者而奔走相告。孩子们享受着一次又一次的挑战，更有孩子请来外教当外援，可见孩子们求知欲通过这种良性的竞争中不断被激发。

本次“我爱猜谜语”活动为期四天，高低年级分开进行，孩子们需要在教学楼二楼大厅查看当天的谜语，课间的时候，他们一个个爬在楼梯上认真查找答案，并抄写在答题卡上，最后投放到设在教学楼一楼大厅的谜底箱内，期待幸运女神的眷顾，每天四点谜底箱将收回至英语中心，用于抽取当天的获奖者，并将获奖名单第二天张贴到二楼大厅。被抽中的学生需要答案正确，书写工整，才能到英语中心领取积分卡或手环一枚，每天三条谜语，主要围绕小学教学楼台阶上的英语常识为知识背景,囊括：天文，地理，生物，科学，科技，运动，名人，发明创造等各项百科知识。

通过本次猜谜活动营造了积极向上的校园文化氛围，展现了学生良好的精神面貌，培养了学生集体荣誉感。提升了学生英语阅读能力和扩展了学生英语基础常识，激发了学生学习兴趣，丰富校园建设。

he Third Annual English Art Festival of Wuhan Maple Leaf ---I Like Guessing Riddles

Last week from Monday to Thursday, “I Like Guessing Riddles” has been a complete success. This activity was the second event of English Art Festival. The whole school, from grade one to grade six, over 900 students have participated in this activity. We have received over 1500 answer sheets; more than 200 students have had coupons or a bracelet. The enthusiasm of the children got higher and higher. In order to find the answer, they need to run in the whole teaching building. They cheered for themselves to find the right answer. They got excited for being the lucky winner. The children enjoyed the challenge again and again; some children even invited foreign teachers for help. The children’s thirst for knowledge was activated constantly.

The four-day activity has separated by lower grade to higher grade. The children need to check the riddles in the teaching building hall on the second floor then found the answer on the steps and filled in the answer sheet, finally put it into the Answer Box, which was on the first floor of the teaching building. Every day at four o’clock, the Answer Box would send to English center. They would draw the winners of everyday and posted the winner list on the hall at the second floor next day. Everyday three riddles would post on the wall, they mainly based on the steps in the teaching building, including astronomy, geography, biology, science, technology, sport, and celebrities.

Through this activity created the positive culture atmosphere, cultivated the students’ sense honor as one team, improved the students’ English reading ability, extended the students’ Basic English knowledge, inspired the students’ learning interest, enriched the campus construction.
