冬去春来，万物复苏。2021年3月3日阳光明媚的下午，大英语中心在一校区阶梯教室迎来了新学期第一次教研活动，初小全体英语老师热火朝天地讨论了本学期教学工作重点。
On the sunny afternoon of March 3, 2021, GEP staff ushered in the first teaching and research activity of the new semester, in which all English teachers of elementary school and middle school discussed the teaching priorities of this semester with great enthusiasm.、
会议在轻松活跃的气氛中拉开了序幕。首先是来自初小的新进中英及外英教师自我介绍，随后由李主任担任主持人，老师们以小组为单位，以游戏抢答的形式回顾了几份重要文件的精神，并展望了今年校区对初小教学教研的期望。老师们积极踊跃地参与游戏，活动现场笑声不断，掌声不绝。通过Jeopardy这个小游戏，李主任不仅向老师们生动展示了什么叫“寓教于乐”，同时也让老师们统一思想，明确了本学期初小英语的各项任务指标和重点工作内容。
The meeting kicked off in a relaxing and active atmosphere. First of all, new Chinese and foreign English teachers from two schools introduced themselves, then Vicki acted as the moderator, and the teachers reviewed the spirit of several important documents and looked forward to the expectations for teaching and research in both schools this year in the form of a group competition. All group members actively and enthusiastically participated in the game which was full of constant laughter and applause. Through the game Jeopardy, Vicki not only demonstrated what "teaching for fun" means, but also unified teachers’ minds and clarified indicators of various tasks as well as key issue of this semester.

把“写字教学”放到课程的位置予以重视，两个月汇报一次学生状态数据。推进4.0启智课堂、费曼学习法、项目式学习法，利用包括“枫陪到底”等线上教学资源，进行翻转课堂。通过整合教育资源和新科技资源，尝试推行双师课堂，并融入国际教育“双循环”体系。将精准辅导工作落到实处，积极反馈教学信息，准确锁定辅导谁、辅导什么，培养小老师。建立错题档案，狠抓“三清”落实落地。2021年是建党100周年，要把该主题与今年英语艺术节活动的主题“We Are One”结合起来，提前做好策划。We place emphasis on "handwriting teaching" in the curriculum and report students status data once every two months. Apart from that, we should promote 4.0 Smart Classroom, Feynman Learning Method, Project Based Learning Method, and use online teaching resources to flip the classroom. By integrating education resources and new technology resources, we try to push ahead dual-teacher classroom while incorporating "double-loop" system of international education. We’ll put accurate tutoring into practice, actively provide feedback on teaching information, accurately target who and what to tutor, and train little teachers. The year 2021 is the 100th birthday of the Communist Party of China, so we need to combine this theme with that of this year's English Arts Festival - "We Are One", and plan ahead.
激烈的有奖竞猜活动以E组老师的获胜结束，老师们还对本次活动意犹未尽。接着，初中代表封绚老师和小学代表易菲老师依次进行了发言。封绚老师从创枫叶特色品牌学校，促初中成绩提升条例，董事长一行在长三角各校区调研工作纪要，确保荆楚枫叶持续发展等方面传达了文件精神，并提出了解决措施。易菲老师作为小学英语教研组长，着眼于本学期的教学质量，强调外教老师要重点训练学生的听说技能，而双语老师则要把重点放在学生的考试提分上。
The fierce quiz ended with the winner of Group E, but the teachers were still immersed in it. Subsequently, middle school representative Caroline and elementary school representative Fiona made speeches in turn. Caroline conveyed the spirit of the document and put forward the solution measures from the aspects of creating Maple Leaf featured brand school, promoting middle school performance regulations, the minutes of the research work of the chairman and his party in each campus of Yangtze River Delta, and ensuring the sustainable development of Jingchu Maple Leaf. As the head of primary English teaching and research group, Fiona concentrated on the teaching quality of this semester and emphasized that foreign teachers should focus on training students' listening and speaking skills, while bilingual teachers on students' test score improvement.
集体教研会后，为了将理论落实到不同学段的实际教学中，小学和初中英语组的老师分别召开了各自的教研会议。After the collective teaching and research meeting, English teachers from elementary and middle school held their own teaching and research meetings respectively in order to implement the theory into practical teaching in different sections.
本学期第一次教研活动的进行，理清了新学期教学工作的思路，为后续教学相关活动的开展指明了前进的方向。乘风破浪潮头立，扬帆起航正当时。相信在新学期，全体英语老师必将以饱满的热情和对英语教育的热爱，不忘初心、潜心耕耘，用实际行动谱写枫叶英语的新辉煌。The first teaching and research activities of this semester clarified the ideas of teaching in the new semester and pointed out the way forward for the subsequent teaching-related activities. It is the right time to set sail when the tide is breaking. We believe that in this semester, all staff will write a new glorious chapter of Maple Leaf English with full enthusiasm and love for English education, without forgetting the original intention and working hard with practical actions.
