武汉枫叶外籍人员子女学校校园精神周之“多元文化日”

    The week of April 23 to April 28 is very exciting for Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School – Wuhan students, as it is “Spirit Week”. During Spirit Week, the school has various kinds of events to encourage school spirit and enrich students’ school life. From Monday to Friday, we have Multicultural Day, Crazy Hair Day, Character Day, Technology Day and Fun Day.

在五一小长假到来前的一周，武汉枫叶外籍人员子女学校也迎了来学生们最为之兴奋的“校园精神周”。校园精神周通过开展形式多样的活动，丰富学生在校生活。本学期“校园文化周”的具体安排包括“多元文化日”，“疯狂发型日”等。

We had “Multicultural Day” on Monday, students were asked to wear clothing from their home country, and to show their national pride. Next, let us take a look at the students’ clothing. Can you guess where they come from?

本周一，学生们最先迎来的是“多元文化日“。学生们可以通过着具有国家文化特色的服装和装饰来展示国家特点。下面让我们一起来看一下学生们颇具特色的服装吧，猜一猜他们来自于哪些国家呢？

Except for wearing cultural clothing, students also had a Potluck Lunch. It is a good chance to taste food from different countries. We had Korean, Western, Thai, Pakistani Halal and also traditional Chinese food. Our parents were really supportive in helping us with this activity.

除了着特色服装外，学校还组织学生开展“百乐餐”，即每个学生自带一个菜的聚会，然后大家一起分享自带的食物。这是一次分享交流的好机会，同时也让学生们能品尝各个国家地道的美食。地道的韩国食物，美式西餐，巴基斯坦清真食物，及中国的特色菜，家长们真的很给力呢。

In the Mandarin class, Ms. Rachel showed traditional Chinese tea to the students and helped them have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.

在下午的中文课上，多才多艺的中文老师还给孩子们展示了中国茶艺，让学生全方位了解中国文化。

Today was just the very beginning of the whole week of celebrations, let us look forward to all upcoming activities at school!
