“Maple Leaf Cup”  We are Ready!

Food and fodders should go ahead of the soldiers and horses. With the Wuhan Final Round of “Maple Leaf Cup” Star of Outlook English Talent Competition drawing near, scheduled pre-competition training is compactly under way. Maple Leaf English teachers carry out systemic training courses of personalized speech, propositional speech, picture description and spontaneous speech, which suit to Maple Leaf competitors’ personal strengths, shortages and characteristics.

兵马未动，粮草先行。随着2018“枫叶杯”希望之星英语风采大赛武汉市决赛的临近，各年级的赛前培训也在紧锣密鼓地进行。老师结合选手们的长处、不足及个性特点，针对个性化自我介绍、命题演讲、看图说话、即兴演讲等环节进行了系统培训与模拟演练。

The theme this year is “The Chinese Culture in My Eyes”. Teachers try every means to search materials extensively and prepare the training courses elaborately. In class, competitors listen and make notes carefully, hoping to absorb all the key points. Facing the questions raised by teachers, they discuss actively and get new inspirations.

本届大赛的主题为“我眼中的中国文化”。中华文化上下五千年，丰富多彩。茶艺、京剧、旗袍、青花瓷、端午节......老师帮助孩子们广泛搜罗素材，精心准备，为学生呈现出详尽而系统的培训课程。在课堂上，选手们仔细听讲，认真做笔记，唯恐漏掉一条要点。面对老师提出的问题，他们热烈讨论，在你一言我一语中碰撞出新的灵感。

After systemic training courses it comes to the simulated practice. Competitors listen carefully and give comments on the performance actively. In Class 308, simulated practice of personalized speech is being well organized. Every competitor walks onto the platform and presents himself. After the speech, the other students offer proposals one after another, which are accepted humbly by the presenter. Meanwhile, middle school simulated practice is also in full swing. Competitors practice in pairs and exchange ideas. What positive and modest learning attitude they have!

系统培训后选手们即进入到紧张的模拟演练中。大家积极准备，仔细倾听，踊跃点评。这不，在308班的教室里，老师正组织本班选手进行个性化自我介绍的演练。选手们按顺序走上讲台，精神抖擞，毫不怯场。介绍完毕，台下的同学纷纷发表观点，指出不足之处。而演讲的同学则面带笑容虚心接受。初中大哥哥大姐姐们的模拟演练也进行地如火如荼。选手们结对练习，交换意见。小编不禁为枫叶选手们自我进步的决心和积极谦逊的学习态度所折服。

Through short and intense systemic training and simulated practice, competitors now express more fluently and are more confident. Good preparation ensures success. Competitors will harvest fruitfulness after active preparation, satisfactory rankings, modest learning attitude, confidence in public speech and positive outlook.
