圆梦希望之星，从“枫叶杯”开始

Hello everyone. I am Jin Ziying from Grade12 Honored Zhou Enlai Class.

大家好，我是来自武汉枫叶高三荣誉周恩来班的金子颖。

Studying at Maple Leaf, a variety of activities enrich my busy school life, such as dubbing competition, English Arts Festival, International Education Fair, Students’ Union and so on. In the summer of 2017, I finally stepped on the national podium of Star of Outlook.

从枫初至枫高，这武汉枫叶的这五年，我成长于各式各样的活动经历中，英文电影配音大赛、英语艺术节、枫叶教育博览会、学生会等等……在2017年暑假这个圆梦的季节，通过参加“枫叶杯”英语风采大赛，我终于走上了希望之星全国赛的舞台。

In the 2017 “Maple Leaf Cup”, I had the privilege of watching the rehearsal of the participants in the competition. Under the spotlights, they passed their passion to every audience. Finally, I also became a member of them and was promoted into the national preliminaries.

2017的“枫叶杯”在武汉枫叶举行，我有幸观看了湖北赛区参赛选手们的彩排，聚光灯下的他们满怀激情地感染着在场的每一位观众。那一刻，他们着实是一颗颗满怀希望的星星，散发着耀眼的光芒。终于，在2017的“枫叶杯”，我也成为了他们的一员，并成功晋级全国赛。

Excellent English speakers from all over the country, regardless of age and nationality, were gathered here. I watched the amazingly outstanding performance on the stage. For a moment, I cannot believe I am saying this, but I did think that it would not be too embarrassed to lose to such a rival.

至首都的漫长旅途并没有浇灭比赛前紧张热烈的气氛。来自全国各个省市的优秀英文演讲者，不论年龄、民族，大家聚集在此，相互切磋。我坐在台下看着多才多艺的选手们，在他们的优秀背后是他们上台前仍在不停默诵的严谨认真，流利地道的英语，掌控舞台的气场……有那么一瞬间，说出来我自己也不相信，我竟觉得输给这样的对手也是一大幸事。

Participation is a challenge itself, no matter what the result is; this experience is my wealth. Only when we are on the shoulders of giants, can we see a wider world. I appreciate “Maple Leaf Cup” as such a rare chance, and I appreciate that I myself took part in it and stuck to it.

参与本就是一种挑战，不论结果，这次经历更是一笔财富。唯有站在巨人的肩膀上，我们才能看到更广阔的世界。感谢“枫叶杯”提供这样一个更高、更广的平台，也庆幸自己能选择参加“枫叶杯”并坚持下去。

Those short days were so fulfilled, because I was growing up in the mutual learning from formidable contestants rather than just participating a competition. I wish all of you can be bold and challenge yourself, cherish “Maple Leaf Cup”, and be a better self!

那短暂的几日在我的记忆里却过得那么的充实，因为我不仅仅是在参加比赛，我更是在观摩学习，交流互鉴。从参加“枫叶杯”到走上全国赛的舞台，对我所经历的一切，我都可以肯定地说：无悔！我也衷心地希望学弟学妹们也能坚持大胆地尝试，挑战自己，把握并珍惜“枫叶杯”这个平台，更好的提升自己！
