The Skating Field Trip of MLFNS-W

在武汉初雪纷飞的日子，我们去冰上飞舞

   Finally, Wuhan started to snow yesterday! Even though it did not snow as heavily as expected, it still made many people excited in this chilling winter. How about going skating in the snowy weather, isn’t that cool? This week, the temperature in Wuhan continued to decrease, and yet students in the FNS were very excited about the skating trip. In the morning, the students started their journey to the arena in Qingshan accompanied by their teachers.

    2018年1月4日，武汉市终于迎来了2018年的第一场雪，虽然雪花不大，但是足以让小伙伴们兴奋一场了。在这个飘雪的日子，一起出去滑冰，是不是很酷呢？本周武汉市气温继续走低，但是依然阻挡不住外校学生们对滑冰活动的向往，1月4日早上，所有学生按照原定计划在老师的带领下来到武汉市青山众圆滑冰场开始了本月的户外之旅。

   After a one-hour and thirty minute drive, students arrived and were eager to begin their skating adventures. With the help of coaches and teachers, students did not need to worry. Everyone had a lot of fun as they learned to help each other.

    经过1个半小时的车程，我们终于到达了目的地。话不多说，我们开始了滑冰前的准备工作。有教练和老师们的细心指导和照顾，是不是很温暖呢？同学之间相互指导帮助，师生之间亲密互动，整个滑冰过程充满欢乐。             

   The field trip offered good opportunities for students to have new experiences and enjoy socializing with their friends and teachers in Wuhan. In addition to the skating field trip, this year, MLFNS-Wuhan has also visited: a local pottery work shop, the Huazhong Agricultural Museum, the Science World, the Trampoline World, and the Forest Park. Field trips are always a learning experience, and help students apply the knowledge learned in class to real life situations.

   武汉枫叶外籍子女学校不定期举行的户外活动是办学特色之一，这是外籍学生了解武汉，融入武汉并且享受武汉生活的好机会。在短短的旅途中，师生建立信任，学生们之间增进感情。除了此次滑冰活动之外，我们还组织过华中农业大学博物馆之旅，武汉科技馆之旅，陶艺工作坊及武汉欢蹦乐跳等等丰富有趣的课外活动。外教老师在这些户外活动中依然会安排学习内容，让学习真正将所学运用到实际生活中去。
