Do you know what day it is today? Today is December 10, 2011, is the 100th anniversary of the 1911 revolution. This is an unprecedented revolution in Chinese history. Today, let us to review it and remember it!

In 1840, the western powers opened the door of China with guns and fire artillery. The greedy robbers plundered the wealth of the Chinese nation, divided up to the Chinese land shamefully. China became a semi-colonial and semi-feudal country overnight and people were in extreme misery.

The Qing government was corrupt and incompetent .The trend of decline was inevitable. The suffering Chinese people had no longer hold any expectation to the Qing government, they realized that only overthrow the Qing dynasty rule, be able to establish the ideal of free and democratic country. Sun yat-sen, HuangXing and a large number of revolution ancestors had revolution attempts again and again in order to save all the nations out of the misery.

The storm intensified, and finally on October 10,1911 , in WuChangCheng, just here, the land we are stepping now, a gunshot started the prelude to the revolution caused a great change spreading across the land. The revolution ended the China's more than 2000 years’ feudal autocratic, created a democratic republic of China, its great historical significance and the worldwide influence will last forever.

Today, the revolution has pasted 100 years. But the deafening gunshot still left its imprint on us. Especially for our students in Wuhan. The sound of guns is not only glorious and proud memory to us, but also our spiritual wealth. The blood of martyrs will keep us vigilant all the time that never forget the history, rewrite brilliant!
