枫叶课程学分体系简介

融会中西，实现中加课程一体化是枫叶建校十八年来孜孜以求的主要目标。通过不断探索，我们已经形成了较为成熟的中加课程相互融合的枫叶课                                                                                                                                                     程学分体系。

在此体系下，学生每学年安排学习十门课程，包括八门加方课和两门中方课。高一年级的全部十门课程均为必修课，高二年级七门必修加三门选修，高三年级六门必修加四门选修。每年三月份，枫叶学生开始积极思考准备下学年的选课，既是满足毕业需要，也是满足大学升学的要求。

通过三年学习，修完所有课程的枫叶学生将获得154个学分，完全达到中加两国关于高中毕业的学分要求，可同时获得中加两国高中毕业证书。BC省的毕业要求是学生需至少修满80个学分，其中必修学分48个，选修学分28个及毕业过渡课程4个学分。BC省教育部认可20个中方课程（语文和中方社会学）的学分。

现将我校学分体系表进行公示，希望借此能增进全体师生和各位家长、来宾对枫叶教学理念和体系的理解，帮助同学们更好的明确学习目标、提升学业成绩。

 A Brief Introduction to Maple Leaf Credit System

Blending the best of the East and West, integration of the Chinese and Canadian curriculum has been our primary goal since the establishment of Maple Leaf School 18 years ago. Through continuous exploration, we have established a mature Maple Leaf Credit System blending the Chinese and Canadian curriculum.

In this system, students will take 10 courses every year, including 8 BC courses and 2 Chinese courses. For Grade 10 students, all courses are required; for Grade 11, seven are required and three are optional. In Grade 12, students have 6 required and 4 optional courses. In March every year, Maple Leaf students start to carefully think and plan their courses for next year so that they will meet both the graduation requirements and post-secondary institution application requirements.

After 3 years of study, students will get 154 credits after completion of all courses and fully and the required courses will meet the requirements of BC and Chinese graduation. To receive the BC diploma, students must earn at least 80 credits, 48 from required courses, 28 from elective courses and 4 from graduation transitions. Chinese courses (Mandarin and Chinese Social Studies) are taught by local teachers, and the 20 credits from these Chinese courses are recognized by BC Ministry of Education. 

    This is our credit system. We hope all the teachers, students and parents will understand our education philosophy and system, thus students can build better learning objectives and improve their grades.
