武汉枫叶国际学校对学生作弊的界定与处理办法



一、对作弊(含剽窃)行为的界定


1、全部或部分抄袭、传真、电子邮件或其他任何方式复制他人作业当成自己原创。



2、与其他同学交换手写或电脑上完成的作业,不管是否知晓作业会被抄袭。



3、在考试或测验时未经老师明确允许而使用任何形式的记忆辅助工具。



4、使用电脑或其他手段将作业从一种语言转换成另一种语言并将其作为自己的原创翻译上交。



5、在考试或测验时提供或接收答案,学生有责任保护好自己的试卷避免其他同学有机会抄袭。



6、没有付出合理公平的劳动而直接享用小组作业的成果。



7、在考试前为了提前了解题目而非法获取试卷。



8、不阅读指定材料而直接使用摘要或评论作答。



9、拿别人的作业或取别人作业的一部分作为自己的作业上交。



10、提交别人创作的材料或改述他人的观点而不注明作者的名字或提供出处。



11、将辅导老师、家长、兄弟姐妹或朋友的作品当成自己的作品上交。



12、将买来的论文当成自己的上交。



13、将网上别人的论文当成自己的上交。



14、不管是否知晓作业会被抄袭,提供作业给他人来支持剽窃行为。



二、对作弊学生的处理



以下均是可能采取的处理结果:



1、目前为止所得分数的一半计为学生的成绩(由老师来决定是否给予补做或补考的机会)。



2、有关作弊的信息与处理结果将通知其家长。



3、相关信息将通报学校领导、放入学生档案并告知其他老师。



4、有作弊或剽窃行为的学生可能丧失以下权利:



①入选周恩来班;



②评优资格;



③老师为其写推荐信;



④课外活动的参与权。

CHEATING POLICY



WUHAN MAPLELEAFINTERNATIONALSCHOOL



 


Cheating includes:

copying, faxing, emailing, or in any way duplicating assignments that are turned in, wholly or in part, as original work

exchanging assignments with other students, either handwritten or computer generated, whether it is believed they will be copied or not

using any form of memory aid during tests or quizzes without the expressed permission of the instructor·       

using a computer or other means to translate an assignment from one language into another language and submitting it as an original translation

giving or receiving answers during tests or quizzes.  It is the student's responsibility to secure his or her papers so other students will not have the opportunity or the temptation to copy

taking credit for group work when the student has not contributed an equal or appropriate share toward the final result

accessing a test or quiz for the purpose of determining the questions in advance of its administration.

using summaries/commentaries in lieu of reading the assigned materials.

Plagiarism includes:

· taking someone else’s assignment or portion of an assignment and submitting it as one's own

·submitting material written by someone else or rephrasing the ideas of another without giving the author’s name or source

· presenting the work of tutors, parents, siblings, or friends as one's own

·submitting purchased papers as one's own

· submitting papers from the Internet written by someone else as one's own

· supporting plagiarism by providing work to others, whether it is believed it will be copied or not




 


CONSEQUENCES FOR STUDENTS CAUGHT CHEATING OR PLARGIARIZING



All or any of the following are possible consequences:




 


1.  Student will receive a score equal to %50 of their present grade.  (Make –up assignments or retests may be assigned at the teachers discretion)



2.  Information about the cheating and the consequences will be shared with the parents



3.  The student will be reported to administration where the infraction will be kept on file, information will be shared with other teachers.



4.  Students caught cheating or plagiarizing may lose the privilege of:                                                



a.  Entrance into the Zhou Enlai class.



b.  Placement on the Honor Role or List of Distinction.



c.   Teachers may refuse to write letters of reference.



d.  Loss of extra-curricular privileges.
