The Dubbing Competition of Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School-Wuhan

                        ——记武汉枫叶外籍人员子女学校首届中文配音大赛

In the past few months, the original dubbing competition performance program "The Sound" set off a nationwide dubbing fever in China, even the foreign students were also hit by this wave. In the afternoon of May 29th, Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School-Wuhan held a unique Chinese dubbing competition.

前段时间收视率颇高的原创声音魅力竞演秀节目《声临其境》在国内掀起了一股全民配音热。你看，连外籍学生也被这股热浪冲击到了，在5月29日下午，武汉枫叶外籍人员子女学校就举行了一场别开生面的中文配音比赛。

Unlike the live dubbing show of "The Sound", students from Grades 4-9 in Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School-Wuhan completed dubbing work with an app on their phone in advance, and teachers and students prepared a lot before the final competition.

不同于《声临其境》的现场配音，外籍学校的四到九年级的同学们是用某款手机配音软件提前完成配音作品，然后参加比赛。为此老师和学生们着实做了不少准备工作。

Mandarin teachers collected a lot of original videos for students to select from, and then taught the students how to use an app for dubbing. The students put a lot of effort into their dubbing practice in their spare time. Some students did really great work by cooperating with their parents and friends.

中文老师们提前搜集了大量的原声素材供学生们选择，示范教导学生们如何运用配音软件进行配音。学生们在选定配音素材后，利用课余时间，积极研读剧本，纠正发音，反复练习。有的配音作品需要多人合作，一些学生还找来家长或华裔学生跟自己搭档练习，在互助合作中完成了精彩的配音秀。

In the dubbing videos, students re-enacted the vengeful Sun Wukong in "Monkey King: Hero Is Back ", the beautiful and lovely Rapunzel in “Tangled”, and the persistent and strong girl Chun in “the Big Fish and Begonia”. Some students also became commentators, and wonderfully introduced the Chinese high-speed rail system.

在配音作品中，他们化身成为《大圣归来》里嫉恶如仇的孙悟空，《魔发奇缘》中美丽可爱的乐佩公主，《大鱼海棠》里执着坚强的少女椿……他们用声音将人物演绎得惟妙惟肖。有的学生还当起了解说员，声情并茂地为大家介绍四通八达的中国高铁。

Here are some of the excellent dubbing selections. The first one is by Suyeon Kyoung, she is actually from Korea;

     第一个给大家呈现的作品来自于国产动画电影《大鱼海棠》，听这极富有表现力的声音，你能猜到这名学生其实来自于韩国吗？

The second one is by Vanessa Rogers (U.K), her performance is really amazing.

第二部作品由来自英国的Vanessa Rogers完成，配音是不是惟妙惟肖呢？

The last one is finished by Gavin Poomkokruk and his dad, they dubbed the Kung Fu Panda.

这部动画片大家是不是很熟悉呢？功夫熊猫！来自泰国的Gavin Poomkokruk同学和爸爸共同完成了此次作品，是不是很温馨呢？

This competition aims to help students feel the charm of learning the beautiful Chinese language. This activity has also been strongly supported by parents. We look forward to the next Chinese dubbing competition and more great dubbing work in the coming year.

此次比赛旨在让中外学生感受中文的魅力，用声音演绎中文之美。本次活动也得到了家长们的大力支持。我们期待来年的中文配音大赛，学生们会有更加精彩的表现！
