The Wax Museum is Back!

武汉枫叶外籍蜡像博物馆又来啦！

   At Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals’ School-Wuhan, teachers always try to make the learning experience more creative and enjoyable. Instead of just listening to teachers, students are required to practice inquiry by themselves. Here comes the Wax Museum from the Grade 7 class.

   在武汉枫叶外籍人员子女学校，外教老师总是想尽办法让教学更加创新有趣。学生们除了在教室里面听教师的课程之外，更多的时候他们需要开展自主性学习和研究。欢迎来到7年级蜡像馆。

   The students have been preparing a speech about “themselves” – the character that they have decided to learn about. The speech is only shared with the audience when the button behind the student is pressed. After delivering their speech, students return to their wax-like state. Students also prepared some additional interesting facts to share with the visiting guests. All of this information was memorized, and provided students with an excellent public speaking opportunity.

   欢迎来到7年级蜡像馆。学生们准备了一段时间有关于“他们自己”的演讲-关于他们自己感兴趣，并行进学习研究的人物。当你按下他们身后的按钮，他们便开始进行各自的演讲了。演讲结束后，他们各自又立马变回像雕像一样的蜡像了。学生们除了为自己所选的人物准备演讲，他们还为各自的人物准备了有趣议事。所有的信息学生搜集后，必须全凭记忆并自如表达出来，这是一个给学生当从展示自己的极好的机会。

   This activity not only developed students’ abilities to research, but also stimulated students’ creativity since they had to dress up like the celebrity. The audience were all impressed by the students’ work.

   此次学习活动不仅培养了学生的信息检索及语言能力，同时也激发了学生的创造力（他们必须打扮成名人的模样）。为7年级学生的作品点赞！
